Strength In Numbers is made up of Jason Lorentzen/Vocals, Tyrone Campos/Vocals, Bill Papenberg/Drums, Anthony Paliaga/Bass, Joe Gurnari/Guitar, and Mike Gurnari/Guitar. Jason, Ty, Bill, and Anthony all grew up in Howell, NJ, playing in garage bands with each other here and there in their early teens. Joe and Mike grew up just one town over in Brick, NJ, not knowing that their future band mates were living just right around the corner. So how did they all meet you ask? Well Joe, Mike, Bill, and Anthony met at a high school talent show after a small conversation that took place. Just one year later, the group added the two vocalists to the line up and created Headrush. Headrush began in March of 1999 and the group played under that name for about 2 and half years. The band had to change its name to Strength In Numbers in early 2001 after some legal troubles, but it turned out for the better in the long run. Not only did the band take a new name, but a new identity and sound as well. SIN took what they had previously and turned it into a fierce machine that could not be stopped at any cost. Playing countless numbers of live shows in the local tristate area, SIN built their fanbase rather quickly. In 2002, the band released their first full length album "Rise and Resist" featuring 8 tracks of pure adrenaline driven, heartfelt music. So when asked in a recent interview "Whats next for Strength In Numbers?" The band simply replied "To take over the world." With that said, look out for SIN's new album coming out late 2004/early2005. |
