The Doors @ PNC Arts Center - Holmdel, NJ 8/23/03

If you read my other Doors review from 4/24 I stated if Ian Astbery did his own thing on stage and did not try to copy Jim Morrison's style this show would be perfect. After all the bad media he received he has started doing his own moves on stage and the show was perfect. The Doors opened with "Road House Blues" the sound was excellent . They then went into "Break On Threw" Ian's voice was right on and the crowd knew it.

The lawn was empty surprisingly, a lot of people missed one hell of a show. They then did "When the Music Over" and then "Love Me 2 Times" The crowd was into this perfect set and let the Doors no it. They then did "The Alabama Song" and then they went right into "Back Door Man" The next was "5 to 1" and then a couple of songs from the LA Woman song track including "LA Woman" The next song was "Not to Touch The Earth" the Doors fuckin jammed period. Some other high Lights were "Rider on The Storm" The End" "20 Century Fox" and "Light my Fire". The Doors did an incredible set, I got drunk and lost my set list so I listed most of the songs on the set list. I may have forgot a couple of songs. From 1 to 10 this show was a 10. This concert may have been the best this year so far. I was glad to see Astbury doing his own thing on stage and bringing this show to another level!!!!

From 1 to 10 this show was an 8. Being from Jersey I should have never doubted Bruce's legend status.
