The Doobie Brothers @ Hilton Casino - Las Vegas, NV 9/26/03

Didn't do a review for September yet so I figured ,why not do one on vacation. I flew out to Vegas it was sunny and 100 degrees all week. I've been here before but never really felt the Sin City part of Vegas until this trip!! After 40 hr's of drinking I decide to go over to catch the Doobie Brothers. I hooked up with a seat in the 2nd row right on the stage, not a better seat in the house. I sat down and started playing black jack and started winning big. I almost skipped the show and I should have.

The Doobie's first come out on stage to auction off a guitar for charity. It sells for $4100. They go off stage and re-appear when a Harley rumbles on to the stage. The place is only half filled about 500 people are there. They open with "Running Down the Highway" Then they break into "Jesus Is All Right with Me" The Doobie Brothers age have defiantly caught up to them . I think the only people that enjoyed this show were the over 50 crowd. Some other high lights were. " Listen to Music" and" Black Water" From a 1 to 10 this show was a 5. I should have skipped this concert, when you are winning big in Vegas you have to stay at the table you at a bet big. Your luck changes by the min. and by the end of my trip it cost me $2200. to see the Doobies. They were good but not worth the $75 ticket price. But that's Vegas.
