The Dead @ PNC Arts Center - Holmdel, NJ 6/25/03

It is a 95 degree humid night but the hippies are there partying in full speed from LSD to kind buds and beer. It is the kind of atmosphere that N.J. should be proud to be the host of. The show starts at a little past 7:00 . Steve Windwood sits in for the first couple of tunes,Steve sings on one of his tunes ;Low spark of Hi-helled boys ,then he plays the keyboards on The Music never stopped. Everybody was having a blast on stage and off people dancing every where. It seemed like the heat was not effecting the band at all, there was a little less dancing from the crowd though. There was a male ballerina tripping his balls of dancing like a lunatic he was doing ballet moves and was really out there he was one of the Deads guest , he had his all access pass flying all around if he wasn't at a dead show he would be committed for sure. Some of the high light were Bertha, Darkstar, Terrapin Station and Sugaree. By the end of the night most of the crowd had ran out of gas and were laying all over the lawn. It was still hot at 10:30 off and on the stage. The band handled the heat with out a problem and sounded great.

From a 1 to 10 I give this show a 8. It was just to Fuckin hot for everyone to enjoy!!!!!!
