Metal Mindrage 2 @ Thunderdome - Baltimore, MD 8/11/03

To call this a metal festival is a joke. This was a pay to play festival with 60 bands paying $600. a piece to play. Do the math!! This festival was billed to be one of the most happening shows of the year. It was held in a small town, Brooklyn Baltimore. This town was a run down crack infested slum. The promoters promised all kinds of press, radio, record labels, The Yager Meister girls etc... there was nobody there.

It was a bunch of bands watching other bands play. We arrived at 12pm for check in ,we had to hang out 6 1/2 hours until Nuse played. There was about 200 people at this event ,mostly other bands. Most of the people were getting drunk at a bar next store, the beers were $1.50 there and $4.50 at the fest again do the math. I saw 15 bands out of the 21 that were playing this day. Out of them there were 5 bands worth listing including Nuse. They were Derail, Lifelong, Stuck in Koas,Izel and Nuse. These bands were great and it was a pleasure to hang out and watch these powerful bands play. This was a plug in and play festival and each band got 25 min. to play ,unless you were managed by the promoters company they got 40 min. What a joke this was. Any way it to the sound guy 10 min . to get Mike's "NUSE" guitar amp working. they took 5 min. off the set time leaving them 20 min. The sound was ok nothing special. Nuse's set what was left of it went great , they got a good response from the crowd, not many band did get a positive response.I gave out 47 Nuse cd's in under 2 min. The people sucked them right up. After 9 hour of this so called festival we split ,not even seeing the headliner for the night,Dry Kill Logic so I don't know if they were any good or not.

From a 1 to 10 I gave this show a 5 . The only one who benefited from this show was the promoters which out of respect for the business I will not name. These guys bombed promoting this show and laughed all the way to the BANK!!!!!!
