Def Leppard @ Continental Airlines Arena - East Rutherford, NJ10/12/05

Ok I was thinking this was going to be a great show. I have seen Def Leppard a few times in the past on the Pyromania & Hysteria tours. So I thought these guys would still tear shit up.

We arrive to the show in the pouring rain traveling threw NJ really sucked tonight allot of roads where flooded and the ride wasn't an easy one but we got there in one piece. We go in around 8:pm hoping that we missed most of Bryan Adams's set. We had front row seats again {Thanks Again Jamie} so you couldn't get a better seat in the house. Last week I was ready to throw down with my 18 year old son, tonight he joins me in the front row. I am glad he decides to join me tonight so I start to tie one on down front. Bryan Adams comes on and we haven't even missed a song, I am like what the fuck!! I've seen him before in the 80's so I didn't want to see him again. I had no choice now. The young girls, the few that we there really enjoyed this crap and sang along. If your 40 and gay you would of loved this set. He played around a 45 min. set doing all his hits.

That shits over so I finally start to look around at the crowd and see how many people where here with all the bad weather and all. I quickly relieve that no one is in the upper seats. I ask the security that is right in front of me what the fucks the deal.He tells me that they have recently bought black curtains that cover the upper sections for $1 million. I was like what the fuck these guys couldn't sell out. He said that allot of bands have been requesting the Meadowland to do more intimate shows. That's why the curtains where bought. Anyhow they only sold 6 thousand seats for tonight and they where all filled. Def Leppard comes out and start there set the sound was a little off the rest of the band was louder than Joe Elliot .I was looking around hoping to see some wild chicks like in the 80's tearing their shirts off and flashing.Back then the chicks went crazy for the band. Not tonight most of the women where older and bunker and not flashing shit. Any how the sound was a little fucked I thought they would dial it in but didn't. Rick Allen was awesome on drums as usual. He out played the boys with out a doubt. The rest of the band lacked something well maybe it was just me they have been around for 25 years now. In the old days they really rocked out tonight's set was more of a girly rock set. In their defense the band really seams to be have fun up there. It was good but could of been allot better. Here is the complete set list. It is not in order my notes got fucked up.

From a 1 to 10 this show gets a 6. Just average nothing special it lacked something mainly balls.
