Bruce Springsteen @ Giants Stadium - East Rutherford, NJ 8/30/03

For twenty years my mother would ask me when are you going to see Bruce. She would tell me every couple of years you know Bruce is playing tonight are you going. I would brush it off and say Ma why would I want to do that. My mother lives on the Jersey shore and you all know about Bruce and the Jersey shore and how the people down there fell about him . Like he is some kind of god, well last night I found out why these people think this. It took 20 years as always I should have listen to my mother years ago. THANKS MA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright enough Bullshit. The time on the ticket says Bruce will come on at 7:30 They take the stage at 8:30 what the fuck... he makes 1 Million dollars a show, don't he have a watch? They come out on stage being filmed from back stage, their entrance is played on the big screen TV's in Giant Stadium. The back ground music playing is "It a Saturday Night and I' Ain't Got Know" the band comes on stage dancing around and the crowd is going nuts. Bruce comes out a couple minitues after the band. In over 300 shows I've seen, I have never seen that kind of stage entrance before, know I know why people call him the boss. It is a gorgeous summer night with the wind blasting threw Giant Stadium. From the minute Bruce and the E Street band took the stage till the end of the show there was unbelievable stage performance. I guess when you do 10 shows a Giant Stadium you fell like nothing can stop you and It Didn't. The energy the band and Bruce gave off was incredible. Some show high lights were "The Risen" "Lonesome Days" "Trapped" "Waiting on A Sunny Day" Bad Lands" Out in The Streets" Meet Me at Mary's Place" Thunder Road" " They go off for the first encore and come back with,"Heart Land"then "Just Raise Your Hands then into "Glory Days"and Finish with " Born To Run" and " 7 days of rock and & days of Roll" They go off stage for a second encore and come back with " My City in Ruins" Bruce dedicates this song to the NJ food bank and ask everybody to help if they can. He looked as if he was going to cry as he played this song with so much emotion everybody could fell it.During the last 3 songs of the first encore he had all the light lit up in the Stadium showing 40, 000 people going nuts singing and dancing to his every whim. I counted 11 people play in the E Street band . His wife was looking hot as ever and seemed to be on top of the world on stage. I was quit impressed with her performance.

From 1 to 10 this show was an 8. Being from Jersey I should have never doubted Bruce's legend status.
