Aerosmith & Lenny Kravitz @ Continental Arena- East Rutherford, NJ 11/10/05

What a fucking show this was, there were super models, movie stars and a shit load of great "Classic" songs tonight at the Meadowlands. It is Saturday morning and I am still recouping from this show. I had front row seats again Thanks to my buddy Jamie. He didn't make the show but I had no problem finding some else to sit with up front.

Lenny Kravitz opened up with {Where Are We Runnin} the place was fucking mobbed as expected. Lenny has a 9 piece band with him on tour with quite a few new faces up there since the last time I saw him live. Kravitz's got the place rocking for sure. His set was roughly 1 hour long. He belted out all his hits closing with his ballad {Again}. At this point I would usually blast a mellow song like this but I was in this video for this song in the bar scene @ The Limelight in NYC a few years back. I didn't like the song then but Lenny throws one hell of a party which the video shoot turned out to be. I won't go any farther into that subject. His set was good, real good and the super models where defiantly shaking their asses during his set.

Aerosmith - Takes the stage opening with {Walk This Way}. They have a stage set up that goes half way back into the floor seats. With this set up only about half the tickets where sold for the floor seats and everyone on the floor had a great view of the band. Their was no barricades up by the front of the stage and security was minimal. I was lucky enough to dance along with the super hot models all night long. There was defiantly allot of the NYC elite crowd up front. As usual I tide one Hell of bender on and had a Fucking blast. Aerosmith then go into {Same Old Song And Dance} and then into {Cryin} Steven Tyler was running all over the place. One minute he was out in the crowd and the next he was hamming it up in the back area. His vocals where strong and Aerosmith's sound was tits. Next song is {Living on the Edge} and right into {No more, No more} Everyone one in the building was have a fucking blast. Next tune is {Jaded} which really got all the chicks going. Joe Perry sounded great as usual and also moved around quite a bit up there. Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton look about 20 years older than Steve and Joe. They still jammed the fuck out but didn't move around allot. Steven then goes off stage and Joe Perry jams his solo Crap {Shaking My Cage} the crowd quieted down around this time but not for long. Tyler comes back out and they jam {Sweet Emotion}. The rest of their set was fucking strong and they played an 1 1/2 set. The whole set list is below.

From a 1 to 10 this show gets a 10. This is like the 3rd 10 I have given this year. But what the fuck... there are some great shows going on this year. Fuck reading these half assed reviews and get the fuck out there and see one. I have seen Aerosmith so many times now I have lost count. The reason for this is they are a GREAT FUCKING BAND and always have a strong stage presents. Tonight was no different Classic Aerosmith at its best and all those super models didn't hurt either.
