Formed in 1997 by Yellowcard guitarist Ben Harper and good friend Greg McDonald, Takeover Records is an up-and-coming label that has only recently started to expand its empire.

The New Panic Tour 2006 is pleased to announce the addition of Takeover Records bands Stole Your Woman, HeyMike! and Strike Fire Fall to this year’s line-up. The nationwide, 60-city tour, which runs from late February through early May, also features indie bands Blood On The Tracks, Close To Home, Livitz Livitz and Afterdrama, with a headliner to be announced soon.

To find openers for the tour, Sonicbids is holding a “Battle of the Bands” in various markets across the county. The entire tour will also be filmed for a major TV network in HDTV.
